The Latest in Aluminum Service Trucks from Knapheide

One of multiple vehicles showcased at the latest NTEA Work Truck Week was this International CV chassis cab upfitted with a Knapheide Aluminum Service Body. Take a look at the features, options and add-ons behind this build.

Inside Our International Work Truck

At this year’s event, Knapheide displayed its Aluminum Service Body mounted on a medium-duty truck. Because this type of truck can handle more weight, it can support longer service bodies with taller and deeper compartments like the one shown. This allows users to carry more tools and materials at once and make fewer trips back to the shop or supply store. In fact, the compartments on this unit offer over 20% more storage than the standard setup.

The aluminum body, cab guard and tool drawers help keep the overall weight down, which means you can carry even more and be less likely to overload the truck. While a steel body version is available, aluminum offers the added benefit of naturally resisting rust and corrosion too.

This truck included Knapheide’s new cab shelving (available now), an improved aluminum cab guard (available now) and a reinforced body understructure (coming soon).

It also featured add-on equipment and accessories including CTech Manufacturing™ tool drawers and chrome wheel simulators.

Cab Guard

Cab Guard

This aluminum cab guard shields the cab and rear window from shifting cargo in the bed during transport. Its hex-pattern design improves rear visibility without sacrificing strength.

Bumper & Hitch

Bumper & Hitch

This hitch recess bumper has treaded steps and a durable KnapLiner coating that protects it from scratches, dents, corrosion, chemicals, and everyday wear. Its design provides better access to the Class V receiver hitch, which can tow trailers up to 21,000 pounds.

Master Locks

Master Locks

These ergonomic handles on both the streetside and curbside push in to lock all compartments on that side at once and pull out to unlock them. For added security, you can use a padlock, and each compartment can also be locked individually with a key or optional power locks.
T-Handles

T-Handles

These optional T‑handles are an alternative to the standard paddle latches. Paddle latches secure each compartment at a single point, while T‑handles secure at three points to help keep doors firmly closed. Like the paddle latches, each one can be locked with the provided keys.
