Knapheide Displays New, Innovative Products At 2017 Work Truck Show
The Knapheide Manufacturing Company utilized the nation's largest show focused on commercial vehicles, NTEA's Work Truck Show, to display many exciting new products and product enhancements. Undoubtedly, the most notable product launch at the 2017 Work Truck Show was Knapheide's new line-up of aluminum gooseneck bodies. The new gooseneck bodies feature military-grade aluminum materials and aerospace technology assembly, far exceeding the competition.
No different than previous years, Knapheide again displayed the industry's most comprehensive portfolio of commercial vehicle solutions. The eleven high-quality vehicles on display in the Knapheide booth reinforced the Knapheide commitment to "Never Settle".
AL-PGNB-96 Aluminum Gooseneck Body
Mounted on a Ram 3500, the new aluminum gooseneck body includes many superior standard features including military-grade extrusions, aerospace technology assembly, 30,000 lb. rated under the floor gooseneck hitch system, and much more. Optional above and underbody aluminum toolboxes provide secure storage on this innovative upfit. The all-aluminum construction reduce the body weight by 40% when compared to a steel gooseneck body.
AL-PGNB-868 Aluminum Gooseneck Body
Mounted on a Ford F-250, the new aluminum gooseneck body includes many superior standard features including military-grade extrusions, aerospace technology assembly, 30,000 lb. rated under the floor gooseneck hitch system, LED lights and much more. The all-aluminum construction reduce the body weight by 40% when compared to a steel gooseneck body.
PGND-96 Gooseneck Body
Paired up with a GMC Sierra 3500, the PGND Gooseneck Body received many enhancements revealed at the show. The flip top compartments were stretched to the rear of the body creating additional storage space, the 8" slam tailgate is now standard, and the gooseneck hitch system rating was increased to 30,000. These updates, among others, create the industry's best combination of gooseneck and service body.
PLB-11C-B Landscaper Body
This upfit included the new Chevrolet LCF chassis with a refreshed landscaper body. The bolt-on body assembly ensures versatile applications and the ability to easily add-on options like cab protectors, tarps, etc. Heavy-duty cam locks and 270 degree swing create full functionality on the rear doors. The recent upgrades, including a brand new subframe hoist, create a landscaper body that offers the unmatched value for landscapers throughout North America.
KDBDS-1112A Drop Side Dump Body
Installed on a Ram 5500, the drop side dump body features a crossmemberless understructure for a lower body height and easy under body cleaning and maintenance. A new Knapheide subframe hoist provides reliable dumping capacity. Two under body Roughneck Toolboxes provided secure storage on this unit.
KUV136DL-SP KUV Body
The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter cutaway chassis with the KUV is a premium upfit. Available in Q3 2017, the KUV for the Sprinter cutaway chassis will include the same great standard features found on current KUV models along with the proprietary rear LED lights with full function strobe capabilities. The optional drop-down ladder rack will be available later this year as well.
KUV129SH KUV Body
America's most popular utility body, the KUV, was paired up with a GMC Savanna cutaway chassis and included many innovative product improvements. New standard features like the corrugated aggregate floor for improved durability and the proprietary rear lights for better functionality are just a few of the latest KUV product enhancements. This KUV was packed with value-add options, including aluminum mechanics drawers, Sortimo Boxxes, LED compartment lighting and much more.
KMS16 Mechanics Service Truck
Big service truck features in an ecomonical package, the KMS16 Mechanics Service Truck was mounted on the back of a Ford F-450 at the show. Like the other service and utility bodies at the show, the KMS16 employed the new proprietary rear lights as well. A weld-on cab protector with (2) 1,200 lumen LED work lights and polyethylene formed drip pain with drain hose in the crane compartment are a few of the upgrades customers can soon expect.
KMT1 Mechanics Truck
Knapheide's KMT1 Mechanics Truck was mounted on a Ford F-550 and, like the KMS16, featured many exciting standard feature enhancements that will be available soon. The KMT1 featured a new power cell controller with 8 button switch panel mounted in the crane compartment with optional in-cab control. Also present were the proprietary rear lights and (4) 1,200 lumen LED lights.
KnapKap Supreme Utility Kapsule
The KnapKap Supreme Utility Kapsule was paired up with a Ford F-150 at the show. A fully enclosed cargo area and structurally advanced fiberglass construction make the Supreme Utility Kapsule a unique solution for work trucks of all sizes. Highly functional options like the integrated rear view camera, Sortimo Boxxes, and many other options can easily be added.
KnapKap Pro CH
Mounted on a GMC Canyon, the KnapKap Pro CH features one-piece construction to form a durable commercial-grade topper. Aluminum toolboxes on both the street and curb side can be configured in many different ways to fit the application. The optional LED compartment lights and 2 bow commercial rack gave this unit additional functionality.
