E-Coat Immersion
Knapheide Bodies are fully immersed in Knapheide's 12-step, electrodeposition prime paint system for superior corrosion resistance.
Flooring
Choose from either two-piece 3/16" treadplate steel, two-piece 7 gauge smooth steel, or 2" pine flooring.
Understructure
Structural long sills with gusseted cross members | 5” on 12’ and shorter platforms | 7” on 14’ and longer platforms. Structural channel cross members are spaced on 12” centers
Undercoat
Under side of body receives additional corrosion protection with Knapheide's water-based undercoat.
Side and End Rails
Side and end rails constructed of structural C-channel steel for rigidity and strength.
Rub Rails
External rub rail constructed of 3/8” steel located on both sides and across the rear of the platform.

This is a steel rail welded to the underside of all cross sills on each side of platform, providing a tethering point for cargo restraining straps.

Constructed of 1/2" diameter steel rod and welded on the front side of cross sills.

Steel construction available in 28" or 40" heights. Choose from interlocking clip style or simple quiet latch connection systems.
